Open Access Policy

MJSc is an open access journal, which provides immediate, worldwide, barrier-free access to the full text of all published articles without charge readers or their institutions for access. Readers have right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of all articles in the MJSc.

Focus and Scope

MJSc is a peer-reviewed and open access journal that focuses on promoting sciences generated from basic and applied sciences, to integrate researches in all aspects. This journal publishes original articles, and interesting case reports.

Subjects suitable for publication include, but are not limited to the following fields of:

  • Natural science
  • Engineering
  • Medicine and Pharmacy

Section Policies

MJSc publishes peer-reviewed articles in basic, applies science research, case report and Medical science.  All of the manuscripts must be submitted through online submission and go through peer review process as mentioned in another section.

Editorial Process

The submitted manuscript will be checked by an editor for its suitability with MJSc’s focus and scope and for major methodological flaws within two weeks.

Staff will work with the author to fulfill all the requirements within this period. Every submitted manuscript which passes this step will then be checked for plagiarism. The manuscript needs to be re-worked if indicated for minor plagiarism and will be rejected if indicated for major plagiarism. Then, an editor-in-charge and an editorial assistant will be assigned for the manuscript. In this stage, the manuscript will be assessed based on novelty and adherence to reporting guidelines. Subsequently, the manuscript will go through peer-review process. The revisions may be required and will be re-evaluated by the editor-in-charge after the authors providing sufficient responses.

The manuscript will be passed to the editor-in-chief for any further revision and ultimately will take an editorial decision. The accepted manuscript will be sent to copyediting stage for correction of grammar and spelling errors, standardizing the journal in-house style, improving table, figure, and writing quality. The incomplete revision of this stage will result in pending scheduled publication. Then, the manuscript will enter production stage for typesetting.

A pdf file is sent to the author for review and there should be no more scientific revision. A failure to comply will result in a delay of the publication since it needs editor confirmation for the changes. The final approval is needed from the corresponding author before it is published. The manuscript submitted by one of the editorial team of the MJSc will be processed by other editorial board members who do not have any conflict of interest with the manuscript and follow the same editorial process.

Peer Reviewing Process

  1. Manuscripts submitted for publication in OMUJ are strictly and thoroughly peer-reviewed. The review process is double blind.
  2. If the manuscript is accepted for full review, it will be reviewed by a minimum of two external reviewers.
  3. Submitted manuscriptswill undergo a detailed initial check including a Plagiarism Check in the Editorial Office. An Editor – usually the Editor-in-Chief or a board member of the journal – together with the Editorial Office takes charge of the peer-review process.
  4. It starts with a Preliminary Review by the Editor (finished no more than two weeks after manuscript submission).
  5. After a manuscriptis accepted for full review, the Editor will collect at least two review comments and prepare a decision letter based on the comments of the reviewers (finished no more than 4 weeks after preliminary review).
  6. All the reviewers are subjected to submit their evaluation not more than six weeks. OMUJ staff ensures that the referee reports are complete. On some occasions, the review process needs more time to seek the appropriate reviewers.
  7. The decision letter is sent to the Corresponding Author to request an adequate revision (peer-reviewed again whenever necessary). The author will be asked to format the manuscript according to MJSc’s template before it goes into typesetting and proofreading with the publisher.
  8. The author will receive the paper in PDF produced by MJSc for checking before it is published online.

(1) Send us your CV;
(2) Become a peer-reviewer
(3) Receive manuscripts from us, review the manuscripts, and send back your comments within 15 days.

MJSc Retraction Policy

MJSc recognizes the importance of the integrity and completeness of the scholarly record. The historic record of published research articles shall remain available and unaltered as far as possible. However, circumstances may arise where a paper got published based on misconduct or honest error.

Editors certainly guide the review process with much care, but it remains notoriously difficult to detect all occurrences of misconduct or error. For this reason, it may become necessary to correct the scholarly record. The decision to alter the record should not be taken lightly. Action taken depends on the individual case and can take the form of
• Expression of Concern
• Correction (Erratum or Corrigendum)
• Retraction
• Removal
The purpose of the action is to correct the literature and to alert readers. It is not intended to punish the author(s).

The responsibility of guiding an investigation of misconduct or honest error is with the editor of the journal concerned. Authors and reviewers will take part in the investigation. The editor will decide on the form to best correct the scholarly record. Guiding principles are COPE’s Retraction Guidelines and other accepted scholarly principles.

Minor errors that do not affect the integrity of the metadata or a reader’s ability to understand an article and that do not involve a scientific error or omission are corrected such that the original article is replaced with the corrected version.

If final action originates from an author’s request, MJSc will help to process it without extra charges. If the measures taken (e.g. a retraction) were not initiated by the author(s) or are even taken without mutual agreement, the author(s) will not be financially compensated and Article Processing Charges (APC) will not be reimbursed.
